‘Printemps’ is an album of thresholds, written in that in-between space where one chapter ends and another begins. Aure evokes a new beginning and shifting bearings, a turbulent crossing toward a safer place, much like the migration of birds. Guided by the poetic minimalism of artists such as Atahualpa Yupanqui, Facundo Cabral, and Leonard Cohen, the mysterious force and chiaroscuro of Lhasa, Jessica Pratt, and Nico, and the precise minimalism of Bertrand Belin, the singer-songwriter draws from a wide range of musical influences and languages, allowing them to intertwine as different facets of her own identity. Her songs unfold within a visual world shaped by Graciela Iturbide’s photography, Wim Wenders’ Wings of Desire, and the intimate collages of photographer Katrien De Blauwer. All the songs on ‘Printemps’ were composed by Aure, produced and arranged by Corentin Ollivier and mixed by Taissa Arruda.
