Ciska Ciska unveils new single ‘Utopia’

Debut album ‘Page Of Cups (Reversed)’ out on 11 September

Announcing herself in 2025 with a handful of powerfully delicate and heavenly singles (Biotope, Angel, Sweet Sixteen, Jump Right In), Ghent-based singer-songwriter Ciska Ciska (Ciska Dhaenens) quickly charmed with her ability to wrap fragile strength in beautiful songs. With subtle guitar, piano and a golden voice, Dhaenens draws the listener into her inner world, where she stands both vulnerably and fearlessly. Today, she unveils ‘Utopia’, final single taken from her debut album ‘Page Of Cups (Reversed)’ set to be released on 11 September.

“Utopia is a song about being dependent on someone else for your own happiness. It is about hating the fact that this is a habit you keep returning to in each relationship. Being with someone brings you the ultimate utopia, it fills your cup, but when you’re alone again, you crash. That’s what I wrote this song about. Afterwards, I took a long trip to learn to be on my own and the song ‘City lights’ from my upcoming album was born on that trip.” - explains Ciska Ciska.
