Kicking off 2023 (we wish you good luck!) with a bang, this is DIRK. as we know and love them: punchy, ridiculously catchy and radio-friendly indie rock, blending the best of Pixies and Weezer into that undeniably DIRK. sound.
Producer Bert Vliegen (aka Whispering Sons, Sophia) and mixing wizard Tobie Speleman (aka blackwave., The Haunted Youth, Isolde Lasoen) have succeeded in creating a splendid and crystal clear sound.
The single deals with toxic masculinity and grabby alpha males for which singer Jelle Denturck and his band have a concise but clear message in store: “No!”
‘No’ is the third single from their forthcoming third album ‘Idiot Paradise’. The album will be out on 3 March, followed by a string of blistering shows in Belgium (Ancienne Belgique!), Netherlands and France (Paris!).
Being the raucous live band they are, you’ll want to be there. DIRK. can’t wait to see you.
