Isolde Lasoen returns with new single ‘My Kind of Drama’

Everyone has their own kind of drama. Some people run away from it, others look for it. Isolde Lasoen prefers to keep her drama where it belongs, in music. For her, that’s where the most beautiful form of drama lies, in the tension between harmony, rhythm and melody, in minor chords and bombastic orchestration. ‘My Kind of Drama’ is not about tragedy, but about the beauty of emotion. About not being afraid to feel, and having the courage to embrace what moves us. An ode to drama in music.

The track was produced by Michael ‘Mitch’ Declerck, known for his French touch connection to Kavinsky, Gaspard Augé (Justice) and Daft Punk. The result: eclectic chic meets ciné pop, retro-futuristic synths, cinematic flair and a pinch of Italo. Melancholy that glitters.

‘My Kind of Drama’ will also be the title for the album, but this single already sets the tone. Drama, but chic. Isolde’s previous album Oh Dear made waves all around the world, from Sélection FIP (FR) and KCRW (US) to the BBC (UK), and earned her a spot on the compilation album released by British influencer Somewhere Soul.
