Sofrimento

Suffering. Pain. Why so much hate in the world, when we're all brothers? “Sofrimento” is Ão's reinterpretation of Waldemar Bastos' Angolan semba classic, and an unmissable fixture of their live set. Fado roots, saudade soul, it’s a tender lament turned joyful and exuberant, while retaining the melancholic weight. Infectious percussion, incantatory guitars and dynamic vocals, this new single leads up to a spring ‘27 mini-album, a follow-up to February's Malandra, as the band tears across Europe.
