The latest addition to the Mayway roster is truly something special: 22-year-old Amsterdam-based troubadour Frans Kalf (né Mika Ram) and his intriguing mix of chanson, cabaret, indie and folk. A singer-songwriter in the tradition of Dutch greats like Ramses Shaffy, Kalf delivers clever lyrics over a meandering yet dynamic melody, adding a splash of Jacques Brel (there’s even a physical resemblance!).
